December 13, 2024

Wymer Brownlee Wealth Strategies is excited to announce the winner of its seventh annual “Grants for Gratitude” program, awarding Oklahoma Bible Academy teacher Jenelle Crismas $1,000 for her successful efforts to teach gratitude to students.

“We are thrilled to recognize Jenelle Crismas as this year’s recipient of our Grants for Gratitude program, which honors educators who exemplify kindness, gratitude, and friendship in their classrooms,” said Stephen O’Neill, Senior Wealth Advisor at Wymer Brownlee Wealth Strategies. “Her outstanding dedication to fostering gratitude among her students is truly inspiring.”

Known for her impactful leadership and creative initiatives, Crismas inspires her students to embrace gratitude and kindness. One standout tradition she leads is the Thanksgiving Week Gratitude Project, where students write heartfelt letters to parents, teachers, and local service providers, fostering a culture of appreciation both in and beyond the classroom.

Crismas’ commitment to teaching gratitude extends to her involvement in broader community initiatives. Through activities such as service projects and team-building events, she encourages her students to understand the importance of helping others and making meaningful contributions. Her work not only instills lasting values in her students but also positively influences the community as a whole.

Wymer Brownlee’s Grants for Gratitude program takes place annually, awarding one teacher $1,000 to use at their discretion to support teaching gratitude and other life skills in the classroom. Parents, students and community members may nominate a deserving teacher at wymerbrownlee.com/gratitude between the start of the school year and Thanksgiving break. Winners are announced the first week of December.
