Oklahoma-based wealth strategy firm Wymer Brownlee Wealth Strategies has hired Amanda Brooks as an accounting advisor. The new position is in response to an increase of accounting clients for the firm and a desire to continue growing business consulting and financial compilation work in the Oklahoma City office.
“Many clients who use our wealth management and tax preparation services are also business owners, and we’ve found handling their accounting, too, provides a more complete picture of their financial opportunities,” said Kyle Brownlee, chief executive officer of Wymer Brownlee Wealth Strategies. “Amanda adds an incredible depth of expertise to our team and, most importantly, shares our core values and desire to help clients.”
Brooks holds bachelor’s degrees in accounting and economics from the University of Oklahoma and went on to obtain her Master of Arts in economics in 2006. She became a certified public accountant in 2010 and has experience preparing tax returns for businesses, individuals and trusts. Since 2014, she served as the director of financial reporting for Life.Church – analyzing financial statements for 30 locations monthly, facilitating budgeting for more than 200 departments quarterly and presenting budgets and financial reports to leadership teams. Brooks also led a team of three as the accounting subject matter experts for the organization.
